This multi-stage masterplan project aims to comprehensively upgrade and revitalize the popular Toorak Park and Victory Square open spaces in Armadale. Adopted by the council in December 2018 after an extensive community engagement process, the masterplan outlines a significant package of improvement works to be implemented progressively over several years.
The design was directly informed by community feedback collected from September 2017 through March 2018, during which the draft masterplan was open for public viewing and input. The council carefully considered resident ideas and comments before finalizing the adopted masterplan in May 2018.
When fully realized, the masterplan will deliver transformative enhancements to Toorak Park and Victory Square that will vastly benefit the local community and sporting clubs that use the facilities. Improvements slated include upgraded fields, courts and amenities, new walking/cycling paths, landscaping and gardens, playgrounds, public art installations, and much more.
By executing this multi-year strategic vision, the council aims to create a revitalized world-class recreational space that promotes healthy lifestyles and community connections while honoring the parks’ heritage. The masterplan ensures Toorak Park and Victory Square will continue serving residents’ diverse needs for generations to come.
